Mossfire Grill

The Mossfire Grill serves up fresh Southwestern cuisine in the heart of Riverside. Their two story building houses a downstairs dining area with outside seating and a lounge/bar upstairs. But even if you intend to just stop by during happy hour (Monday - Saturday, 4-7pm) for one of their famously strong Margaritas, I'd strongly recommend working up an appetite and sitting down for one of their delicious offerings.

First off, the salsa is homemade and far better than the typical store bought fare with a lot more flavor and a meatier texture. Don't be surprised if you find yourself eschewing the corn chips entirely and just drinking the stuff directly from the ramekin.

While Mossfire excels in the typical Southwestern items like burritos and quesadillas, I'd recommend straying from the standard fare and indulging in one of the more atypical dishes. My favorite item on the menu so far is the fish tacos made with seared tuna. They're absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, and will leave you satisfied but not feeling overly stuffed.
