Sake House

Despite my extreme fondness for consuming raw fish, we don't often visit sushi restaurants. Far too many offer the exact same menu items prepared in the exact same fashion with very few deviations beyond the signature house roll. This is in no way intended to criticize the quality of the sushi, simply to lament the lack of variety in our region's raw fish scene.

The Sake House in Riverside is a nicely decorated establishment with an outside eating area and offers everything you'd expect from a local sushi joint. The food was good and the staff was friendly but there's not really much more to elaborate upon. Suffice to say, if you're in the Riverside area and craving raw fish then don't hesitate to stop in.

There was a good sushi place near my work at one point but, for various reasons, it is no longer in business. However, the chef who made it great is now working at another restaurant between Jacksonville and St. Augustine. We'll try go there sometime soon and write up all of the details.
